credit score.?*
anyone has a reliable recommendation of a site where I can get my credit score and reports from all 3-bureaus for a flat fee in one shot? Most of the sites I find are these annoying monthly subscriptions which is usually a scam. You sign up easily and to get out you need to call wait for hours on the phone.
anyway, I'd like to find a site that I pay one time get my report and see you later.
so far I only found this one:
www.creditreporting.com
but since I need to send my SS, I am skeptical of doing it before knowing if this is reliable.
Do you know if it will hurt my credit?
thx.

1) Myfico.com is the one I would recommend. They have several options to choose from depending on what works best for you. And it is said that their scores and reports are what lenders see and are more accurate. The site is secure and reliable. And checking your report does reduce your score, but only by a point or two, so you shouldn't really worry about that.
2) I check my scredit score every year and have no problems doing it, it is perfectly secure. I go to www.freecreditreport.com. You do have to sign up for their service, but it is free for thirty days. What I do is sign up, check all three major credit reports, print them for my records then cancel my subscription. I highly recommend checking your score. I found that I have several past addresses that were mispelled on my credit report and it appeared that I moved a lot (creditors are weary of this). I was able to get those bad addresses removed. As a result, my credit score went up the next year. You may still be stuck paying for the actual score - ie 650-780 etc. as opposed to getting your credit report - wich stats your credit history, information, residence history. It can cost about $10-20, but it is worth it - and its only once a year.... I do recommend doing it, especially if you are considering purchasing a car, house or other large item which would require a loan. Having an up to date and correct credit report is important becuase it keeps your credit score higher and allows for better and larger loans.
3) check out http://mycreditpeort.com it should give you a few good options. It worked great for me. Good luck!
