how much would a bank charge to cash a check in the amount of 300,000.00?*

Answers:

1) Depends on the type of check normally. What I would do is walk in and say you walk to open an account with that check. It will take about 5-7 days for the check to clear, but then you could have the money in cash if you wanted. If time isnt a big factor and you have a couple of weeks then I would open up a bank account with your favorite local bank. EDIT**** Think about it this way, even if it was 1% of the total check that would be a lot of money when you are talking about $300,000. So find a way to do it for free like my idea.

2) if u have an acc't it should be no charge but don't expect to walk out with the cash

3) Nothing, if its your bank. Just don't expect to walk out with the cash.

4) There will undoubtedly be at least a 7 day hold on that check. You would only be able to deposit in your account.
