can anyone answer this ? about paypal?*
everytime i pay for my ebay purchases thur them they take the amount out of bank account 3 times, they just did this to me leaving my bank account depleted, i wrote them but got no response anybody got a phone number for them or any ideal why they do this.
Answers:
1) try this number (888)221-1161
2) You need to call them. Sounds like you're paypal account has been phished. Forward all suspicious paypal emails to spoof@paypal.com
3) That is odd, I use paypal ALOT and that has never happened to me but there is a contact us link on the page, go there and pick your option of contacting them, could be a problem with your bank too. Or else when you click pay, you are clicking it more than once.
4) Do they ever return the amount they take that is above the amount you are supposed to pay? You may be surprised, but companies use this type of activity quite often. They will place what is known as a temporary hold on the account for the requested amount and it should be removed within 24 hours. They place the hold as a security measure since they have no way of identifying you (since you bought online) or if the account or credit card you are paying with is valid. Also, they do it as a security measure against fraud so that if someone else is attempting to use your acct or card, you can be immediately notified of the charge and dispute it. After about 24 hours, assuming everything is legit, the temporary hold will fall off and credit back to your account or card and within 48-72 hrs the company will withdraw the money that you owe them. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
5) ***** PAY PAL MUST READ *****
6) Try to remember if you have responded to an email from paypal (but actually not) account verifying your account information? If you did open the site and typed your information like account #, password then you might have phished. Try to close that account and open up a new one. Recent phishing scams used accounts like ebay, paypal, Bank of America, and even IRS.
