Credit Repair?*

Has anyone tried one of these credit repair companies.. Not debt settlement or consoludation or bankruptcy. Credit Repair where they dispute items on your credit report

2) I agree that these firms are a waste of money. They don't do anything that you couldn't do on your own. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for your money, they really don't give a hoot about you or your credit. You are your own best advocate (true in many situations in life). First of all, you need a copy of your credit report. Get one. The next step is to look at all of the information very carefully. Make sure it's right. If it isn't right, there are instructions on how to dispute it. If it is right, then deal with the consequences of your actions. good luck!

3) Sure, you could do it yourself, but are you an attorney? With the help of an attorney on staff, these credit repair companies deliver results faster for you. Any of the repair that you could do yourself takes a lot of time and research. Investigations through the credit bureaus often go unnoticed when the claims are from "average people". The price you pay for good credit is actually small for what a better credit score can actually do to improve your life. They are most definitely worth the money, they offer advice and help you get your things in order. Would you do your taxes on your own? Sure you CAN, but will they be right? Hire people to do the job!
