Can a 12 year old have a credit card?*
Can they still apply for one if the parent's credit card was deleted? (they no longer have it?)
Answers:
1) No, you can get a pre paid
2) No, a 12 year old can not have a credit card. You must be 18 to have a real credit card. Only pre paid cards or gift cards can be used. The prepaid cards someone 18 or older must get for them. And these have ZERO impact on a credit score. Part of the reason is that parents will take out credit cards in their kids name, charge them up, and ruin their kids credit.
3) Nope! Only because a 12 year old can't get a job legally
4) no you have to be 18 even if the family are loaded i would never trust any of my kids with one even if i was rich ha xx
5) No, a 12 year old can Not have a credit card. You can get the pre paid one's but that is it, but even then you have to get you parent or someone 18 or older to get it for them.
6) Not legally. You may get a gift card. That is not a credit card but an instrument that works like a debit card.
