Also service tax 12.24% & debit charges(?) are added. I refuse to give the extra bill & paid the other bill that I have made the transactions. I have paid all the bill.Still the bank is sending the bill which is increasing since my account has closed. Also Bajaj Insurance Policy premium has been paid without my permission. Talked with the customer care of axis bank about this matter, they suggested me to ignore the bills since my account has been closed. 1) Sorry, I can't help, but Suze Orman can help you a great deal. She has plenty of books, and she has a web site, SuzeOrman.com where you can e-mail her, or you can call in on her show on the weekends on CNBC. And she is sometimes on Oprah. Suze is the Financial Queen. You might want to give her books, and tv show a try, I think you will like her. Also, I think you might like Dave Ramsey, he's on the radio, as well as having at least one book that I know of, I can't recall the name. He might be on you're local christian radio stations, and of course you can call in on his show as well. Good Luck. Oh, one more thing I forgot, You're Christian radio stations probably has a show called Crown Financial Ministries.

2) Find all your old receipts and bill. Find payments that the company send you saying thank you for payments. Find check and bank statements if paid that way. If so the bank can also help if you use checks or debit card. If money order then get all receipt together add up the money ad if it adds up to finishing all payments called the company and ask to speak with a manager and have them explain and if you feel like they taking advantage call you local news company and blast them on the the 5pm news just make sure your fax are accurate.

3) Report the credit card issuer to the Comptroller of the Currency. Phone number is 202-874-4700. Report the company to your state's attorney general's office. You can find links to your state's AG website at naag.org. Your state might allow you to file a complaint online. This is probably the most effective complaint to make as it is the attorney general's who have filed most of the lawsuits against credit card companies. For example, it was the California AG who sued Providian and forced them to pay the largest judgment against a credit card company ever. Report the company to the Better Business Bureau. Submit your case for dispute resolution online at www.bbb.org. Report the company to your elected representatives. You can find their email / mailing addresses at www.house.gov and www.senate.gov. Note that the banking industry (which is comprised mostly of credit card companies) has a lot of power in Washington, D.C. in the form of lobbyists and contributions to election campaigns. Despite this fact, your elected officials are more afraid of you because you can vote them out of office. If you think contacting them is a waste of time you're wrong. Someone will read your correspondence -- if enough complaints are received something will be done about it. Report the company to banking regulators. Their mailing address is Division of Credit Practices, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission, Washington, D.C. 20580 or file a complaint online at www.ftc.gov. Hope this answers your question LEGAL DISCLAIMER: The advice contained herein is for informational purposes only. It is not to be construed as Legal Counsel nor Legal Advice.

4) Closing the account will only keep you from using the card again. You owe whatever you signed, NOT whatever they said on the phone. If you have proof that they told you there's no annual fee, and that's all you owe, then you have something to work with. If not, they'll say you should have read the fine print, and your only option is to pay it or work out a payment plan. I don't know what you mean by insurance policy, but I'm guessing it's a plan to protect your card from being stolen and such, and for that you will not get a large packet in the mail. It may be a small fliar included in one of your bills. Again, you may have signed off on that - maybe it said insurance is free for the first year.

5) any insurance you get with your credit card you won't get any paperwork for. Is the account closed but money still owed? I have 5 closed accounts but I still have a balance on them and so I keep receiving a bill. I also continue to get the annual fee added to the one account. Have you called the customer service number for your credit card to ask them? They should be able to tell you what is going pretty easy. Seems like that would be the fastest solution.
