Paypal troubles?!?*

I'm trying to pay for an item I just got on eBay, by means of "Buy it now", but Paypal is being unresponsive. When I go to login so I can pay for the item, it takes me to a page saying "To complete this payment, add a debit or credit card to your PayPal account or Update your Credit Card or Debit Card." How do I update it, since I already have a debit card on it?
