Will my bad credit affect my future husbands?*
What if we keep seprate accounts and I don't put my name on big purchases? My boyfriend and I have been very curiouse about this. Thanks.
Answers:
1) Your credit and his credit remain separate no matter what. You can have joint accounts... your credit isn't going to ruin his.
2) well if it's under 7 years you need to fix it.small payments honey that's what i do.but if u2 try to get anything together that's when it hurts.you can still have a account together they don't look at that.i've been married a year and a half .and when we got married we were wondering the same thing so when we went to the bank, they asked if i was working and i said no.it would have helped on how much of a loan we could get.but for all your questions it wouldn't bother any of them.talk to your bank they will find the best way for you2. you don't have to hold anything back from them.their going to get you what they can.promise. cause it's in their best interst to keep u as a customer.and the longer you've been at your job.more than a year.both working.that gets you the best loan amounts.the more you get a loan and pay it off.the better credit you get.and YOU NEED CREDIT.with out it you can't get anything.don't get yourself stuck like that.good luck
3) While he's just your boyfriend, your credit won't affect his. When you become legally married, it will definitely affect his. I saw this on Suze Orman. There was a married couple and the husband's bad credit was just ruining everything. When you become legally married, the government looks at you as one person. I read an article that said it's cheaper to not get married based on taxes.
4) Before and after marriage, you have individual credit scores. HOWEVER, one person's bad credit will affect the other person's if you decide to make a major purchase together, such as a house, car, or any loans you might want to take out.
