Platinum Plus student credit card from BOFA?*
I applied about a week ago for a student credit card, I barely turned 18 and I want to build my credit score. I got it in the mail today and showed my sister who btw works at a different bank lol. She flipped a cow, not because it's not from her bank but because the credit line is $800 and I don't have a job, she says I need to find out if it has anual rates, if it does she said to call the toll free number and ask for one with no anual and low interest rates. Does anyone have answers for me????
Btw I'm in my first year of college if that helps any.
My question is... does anyone know if this specific card I have has anual rates? Will I be charged fees if I don't even use it?
Answers:
1) The question is what do you want an answer to?
2) Try this. It`s can help.
3) is this the card you're talking about? http://www1.bankofamerica.com/creditcards/?context_id=marketing_detail&offer_id=ECOMM090BAWI00400800122126EN004&requestTimeout=120&router_flag=y (the site says the annual fee is $0) but a limit of $800 is surprisingly low, actually. i got my first credit card the summer after my freshman year, and was approved for a $3,000 limit with no job. just be careful that you don't charge things that you can't afford. no matter how good the interest rate is, you should always pay it off in full each month.
4) The BofA student credit cards can be found at the first source link below. Visit that source link and click on the specific student card you have, then review the details and the "terms and conditions. IF you have the Bank of America® Student Platinum Plus® Visa® Credit Card then there is NO annual fee, but there are fees for Balance Transfers and Cash advances ranging from $10 to $75. I hope that helps. To learn more about building good student credit visit source link #2 below.
