What is the best credit card company for students?*

Answers:

1) Try Orchardbank.com - they'll start you off at a low minimum and won't give you credit higher than 500 - so you can't get too deep into debt. They may or may not charge $39 annual fee, so try to get one without an annual fee. It's a great starter card and they accept students with little or no credit. Another option is Citicard - citicards.com they have a few options for students. If you have a salliemae loan, you should try UPromise - using the credit card can help you get money that can go to repaying your loan. Stay away from high lines of credit until you get a good job and know how to use credit right.

2) There are Web sites that let you compare different student credit cards. It makes a good place to start, and I have put a couple of links below. Basically, you should probably not think much about rewards programs. They are fine, but don't pick on that basis. Your main goal should be to establish good credit, by paying off your total "New Balance" every month. Just find a card that doesn't sock you with a lot of fees. BTW, since you need to be paying off the entire balance due every month, you should not make the interest rate a major consideration. Obviously, when it is down to a choice between two cards, a lower rate is better. But if you are going about this intelligently, you won't ever pay interest, because you won't ever run a balance. Now, for the sites that help you compare, check these out: http://www.creditcards.com/college-students.php http://www.creditcardguide.com/student_cards.html http://www.cardratings.com/studentcreditcards.html http://ptmoney.com/2010/07/02/the-best-credit-cards-for-college-students/ Good luck!!

3) Discover offers a good student credit card. Most major banks do as well, but you have to have a checking account with them. This includes Wells Fargo, Bank of America, US Bank, etc.

4) get more details ;open the second & fourth link on: www.credit-debit-card.co.cc
